Cold pier machining technology is widely used in many fields, and the mechanical properties of workpieces produced through cold pier machining are generally much better than traditional cutting techniques. Although the current cold heading processing technology has gradually matured, there are still some limitations to the Lily cold heading machine.
For example, according to current technology, cold heading is not suitable for materials with high strength because the cold extruded blank will deform due to excessive pressure, so cold heading requires a large tonnage press. Moreover, the cost of this processing technology is relatively higher, so it is more economical for large-scale production. In addition, before cold extrusion processing, surface treatment of the blank is required, making it difficult to achieve automated production.
